Random... AGAIN...?

1. Lunch at School


On Veterans Day (11/11/11), I had the day off (ooooh, first Veterans Day off in my 10 years of working in USA... loving it...)


So... Day off = No work aka No training class... (I was and still am in my new job training for 4weeks - will get into that later) = Lunch with the girls at school.


It has been ages since I had lunch with the girls at school...


In USA, the parents are allow to have lunch with their kids at school... and you can bring just about anything for the kids to eat.... from McDonald's to Chinese take-out... or home-cooked food.

Typically, the lunch hours are between 11:40 am to 12:40 pm.... depends on what grade your kids are in....


Emma's lunch hour (1st grade) = 11:40 am 12:10 pm

Annabel's lunch hour (4th grade) = 12:10 pm to 12:40

This is the school cafeteria... In Malaysia, we called Canteen... **hehe**


Oh, the kids have some rules to obey during lunch hour.... For example, when kids are making too much noises.... Mrs. Speth, the Cafeteria Lady will turn off the lights to get everybody quite...

And if you have any questions in the Cafeteria... she is the to-go-person...


She doesn't look like a 5th grader.... She looks more like 18... Oh... how I wish!

2. McRib - Nom nom nom


As far as eating out at a fast-food joint.... I would prefer to go for Popeye's or Chick-fil-A....

I would only go to McDonald's for their Dollar Menu - 4-piece Chicken Nuggets and a large sweet tea.... and that's lunch... Yes, I'm super cheapo.



But this McRib, a BBQ pork sandwich which periodically sold in McDonald's, caught my attention....

They are soooooo good... I can eat 10 of them in one sitting.... **no kidding**

Go and get your McRib now.... Limited time only.



The only thing I would do different next time is.... to order my McRib with no pickles and no onions....

3. Chanel


Bought this awesome Chanel eyeshadow on ebay.... for $26.00.



And the sad thing is.... the only color that I like is the brown (top right).... the rest are just okay...


A waste of money???

4. So Proud


.... of Annabel, my 9-years old.... for her achievement in completing the slideshow in her class.... part of the school special project...




She created this slideshow/presentation using powerpoint....



Back in my elementary school days 30 year ago in Malaysia... we were playing jump rope, picture cards and marbles... computer and laptops didn't even exist back then....

Kids nowadays are so lucky....

3 THINGS:-


I'm currently in a Random post thingy... so bear with me... Like it this way since I do not blog that often.... pictures with small talk... but I will try to throw in a long interesting post here and there... and in between....


Into my 3-week of training at my new job... Brain fried almost every evenings with checking/savings account information.... loans and credits.... and all the banking stuff.... Super overwhelmed but glad that only 1 more week to go....


Papa and Adele are here to spend Thanksgiving with us.... So, it's gonna be a busy week from now till Thanksgiving... and I promise I'm gonna post our awesome Turkey dinner in here.
