Thanksgiving Dinner

I can only describe Thanksgiving dinner this year with just one word.


AWESOME.






To be honest, I have not had a clue what's Thanksgiving is, and why do American celebrate it.

I know it's a celebration to be thankful for what we have but what I really care for on this special day is the BIG turkey. Gooble Gooble!!!





Well, we started our Thanksgiving dinner with the girls saying their prayers (read below).


God is great and God is good,
And we thank you for our food,
By HIS hand we all are fed,
Thank you for your daily Bread.
Amen.






Our Thanksgiving Menu:

1. Oven Roasted Turkey.
2. Green Beans Casserole.
3. Sweet Potatoes with marshmallow.
4. Stuffing or Dressing (some of you may called it).
5. Corn Pudding (my favourite side dishes).
6. Cranberry Sauce (must have).
7. Pickles, Green Olives & Cut Celery.
8. Hot Dinner Rolls.

And here are the desserts.

Homemade Coconut Creme Pie by Rita. It was D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S.




All-Time favourite Pumpkin Pie.




Yummilious Cherry Pie.




And Raisin Pie homemade by Rita also.

Two GIANT pieces of Coconut Creme Pie. It was that good.







After dinner, it was time to take a nap.

Fast forward to 2 hours later.


Went around the house and took some pictures before we hand-picked some grapefruits and oranges.





And we QUACK QUACK here, QUACK QUACK there....

here QUACK, there QUACK... (everybody sing with me)





We put almost 2,000 miles on the car. Yikes!





In Florida, you will see alot of palm trees everywhere.





Ha... Look at the orange tree.





Full with oranges.





One for me and one for ya....





And a whole lot for the girls.




We ended up going home with 1 full bag of grapefruits and 2 full bags of oranges.

Here is the last part of the post which I'm very proud of myself.


I used to crochet. 23 years ago, when I was 15. (Jesus, am I that old..?)


Well, I haven't touch the needle since then and completely forgotten how to even hold the darn needle.


And while we were down in Florida, I was suddenly interested to start crocheting again as Adele was making some pots holder and she's good at it.


So, I picked up the needle and made......

A Purse.




It took me a couple of hours to finish this purse. It's for Annabel.



Then, I made another one.




For Emma.



And another one.





For me... Nah, I was just kidding. It's for Alyssa, Annabel's BFF.




So, I made 3 purses for the girls. Yup, I'm so proud of myself.



Got to go now. I'm so much into crochet now. Perhaps I will start making a purse for myself. Ha..!
