our journey to Florida

....




We are leaving to Florida for Thanksgiving this evening.


It's gonna be a long 12-hours drive. Yuck!


Well, here is the general idea how our journey is going to look like, from Richmond, VA to Tampa, FL via Interstate 95.





We will drive through 5 states starting:-

1. Virginia
2. North Carolina
3. South Carolina
4. Georgia
5. Florida




Virginia.




Virginia is easy. It's going to take about an hour drive or so from Richmond to be at the border of North Carolina.




North Carolina



The Interstate 95 in North Carolina is approx. 182 miles long... and driving at an average speed of approx. 60 mph, would take approx. 3 hours and 2 minutes to cross.




South Carolina



South Carolina - 207 miles long... and driving at an average speed of approx. 60 mph, would take approx. 3 hours and 27 minutes to cross.


Fuh, by this time, I would be half-dead, man...



Georgia



Georgia is a short one. 112 miles long and would take approx. 1 hour and 52 minutes to cross at 60 mph.




Florida




Once enter Florida, we will be on I-95 for 45 minutes or so, till we get to Jacksonville.


Then from Jacksonville, we will take Interstate 10 to Gainsville before we proceed to Interstate 85 all the way down to Tampa, FL.


This journey would probably takes approx. 5 - 6 hours. Double Yuck!




I tell you, this is not going to be fun but anyway, wish us a safe journey, please.
