Roberts' newborn picture

I had posted Annabel's pictures when she was a newborn, then Emma's and now it's Daddy's turn.

I got hold of Robert's pictures when he was a baby and assorted others of his younger years when I first went to Nova Scotia, Canada in 2000 to visit my FIL for Christmas.

Some of the pictures are almost 40 years old and still in VERY good condition. How I wish I had mine taken too back then but 40 - 50 years ago, owning a camera is considered luxury. Anyhow, I have one of my own newborn picture and perhaps I will share it with you guys if I could find it.

Awwww, look at that smile...

Metal cabinets for my garage

This morning, Robert were doing the yard work while the girls and I were busy cleaning up the garage. We spent almost all morning; sorting out tools, throwing away empty boxes, keeping all the lawn equipments in the right place, putting away all the summer furnitures, and basically doing our yearly fall cleaning.

When Robert was done with his yard work, he was surprised to see the garage was so clean and organized. One thing that he really wanted for so long was the metal cabinets in the garage.

With the metal cabinets, it definitely will add value and convenience to our home. It will transform our cluttered garage into an organized workplace and provide more storage and working area for Robert. I'm sure he will like the below 10-piece metal cabinets. I think this would be the coolest Christmas gift for him this year.

Do you like my future Garage Metal Cabinets..???

Emmas' newborn pictures

In my last entry, I have dedicated the post to Annabel and today, it's only appropriate if I posted this for Emma Ceallaigh Teasdale, my youngest daughter.

Below are some of Emma's baby pictures for your viewing pleasure. She looked alot different from her sister, Annabel - an apple and an orange, that's what their daddy likes to say.

Oh by the way, Emma's middle name is pronounced as "Kelly" and it's Irish. Don't ask me why, what, where, how and who but only Robert has the answer. According to him, he adores the name Ceallaigh and it was taken from an Irish restaurant named O'Ceallaigh. We almost taken Ceallaigh as Emma's first name, thank God we did not. It would have been a nightmare then trying to spell or pronounce her name every single time we addressed her to someone. PHEW...!!!

Emma's first picture at the hospital. Still sleepy and tired from the "looooooooong journey"...

Look at my "double-chin"... KEKEKEKE!

Big savings on your next vacation

Next week, I will be in Norfolk again for my 2nd week of job training. I'm so looking forward to be in this training as 3 of my co-workers in Richmond will be joining us this time together with others from Virginia Beach. It is going to be a bigger group this time and I have to say, Jana - the District Trainer is the friendliest people I have ever met.

During my 1st week of training a couple of weeks ago, I was staying at Doubletree Hotel, not too far away from the training center - probably about 5 minutes drive. Next week, we are going to change to a different hotel further away as I found a great deal online at Hotel Reservations, for US$50 less a night than my previous stay at Doubletree. That's a total savings of US$150 for 3 nights.

Eventhough the company that I work with, is paying for the hotel accomodations but I'm glad I have saved some money for the company. I highly recommend Hotel Reservations to those of you who are planning for a vacation and needed to book a hotel accomodations, flight tickets, car rentals, cruises, vacation rentals or vacation packages. You can find great destinations and fantastic deals on their website at your fingertips.

What I really like about booking my hotel accomodations with Hotel Reservations is they guaranteed the lowest rate you can find. If there is a lower rate available for the same dates and the same hotel, contact them within 24 hours of booking your "Special Internet Rate" reservation. After a simple verification of the lower rate, they will match the lower rate or cancel the reservation without a cancellation fee, whichever you choose. Of course, this guarantee only applies to rates indicated as "Special Internet Rates." It does not apply to any special events such as New Year's, the Super Bowl, Mardi Gras, JazzFest, etc.

Start your booking now and save up to 70%. You can either make your booking online or simply call 1-800-447-4136 and talk to their friendly Reservations. They are available 24 hours 7 days a week. You will be surprised to find out how much you have saved on your next vacation.

Annabels' newborn pictures

I was sorting out all the pictures in my online album and found some of Annabel's newborn pictures and wanted to dedicate this post to her. How time flies - 5 1/2 years ago, she came home from the hospital in a cold winter weather. 5 1/2 years later, she's no longer a baby and going to kindergarten on a school bus all by herself.

I'm so thankful to have such a good baby. When she was a newborn, she has never given me any "drive-me-up-to-the-wall" problem except a couple of fussy nights, a few chomps on my boobie while breastfeeding her (gosh, that hurted so bad; I was in tears) and an occasion of mid-night waking up and refused to go back to sleep time.

This is Annabel's first hospital picture. Isn't she a cutie pie..????

"Mummy was so busy cooking in the kitchen, so she put me in the laundry basket for an afternoon nap."

"Look, my first smile when I was only two months old."

"I'm so comfortable; I'm in LA LA LAND."

"Are you talking to me, Mommy?"

I'm going back to sleep....

I'm AWAKE... Now, what..????

Daydreamiiiiiiiiiing

Trying to sit up like a big people. "I'm getting there, Daddy.."

Look at my BIG girl now...

Delicious Mooncakes

Mooncake Festival is around the corner and I remember when I was a kid, I eagerly waiting for Mooncakes Festival as this is the time of the year where kids are out playing with their lanterns at night while the adults are busy preparing for the celebrations.

What I really missed about Mooncake Festival is no longer the "playing lantern" part, but the delicious mooncakes that only available once a year. My favourite would be Kum Lun Tai's mooncakes as I believe they are the best mooncakes I have ever tasted.

To my surprise when I came home from work two days ago, there was a UPS package waiting for me from myTasteOfAsia.com. Robert immediately asked me if I ordered some Malaysian food online and I said, "No, I haven't had time to sit down and go thru the list of things that I wanted to buy."

Anyway, to cut long story short, my dear friend - Mr Raymond See, the owner of myTasteOfAsia.com sent me the package, a little gifts from him to thank his loyal customer, yours truly, in conjuction with the Mooncake Festival.

I just love the "classy" looking tin box. Will keep one for Annabel and one for Emma.

Lotus Paste with 2 yolks, come with a plastic knife. Ready to be eaten at anywhere.

Pandan Flavoured Lotus Paste with 1 yolk. YUM!
Tell me, who can resist this delicious KLT's mooncakes? It was 11:00 pm when I cut these mooncakes. I know. I know. Who cares...???? "Makan dulu, wei. Nanti belakang kira.."

This "Halal" Pandan Flavoured Mooncake is the best I ever eaten. You can smell the pandan flavour immediately after you had openned the package. Apa lagi, Cath "hentam" the whole mooncake without looking left and right.

For those of you who live in foreign country and have no access to Malaysian food, I highly recommend myTasteOfAsia.com as they have various selection of curry paste, laksa paste, kicap, chilli sauce, maggi mee, instant mee goreng, instant teh tarik (this is good, no kidding), 3-1 instant kopi, sambal ikan bilis, snacks such as muruku, dodol durian, Ngan Ying Peanuts, keropok udang, Marmee, dried sotong, gula-gula Hacks and many more...

Please note that this is NOT a sponsored post. Ray did not pay me to blog about his website. It's just because his product especially Sambal Ikan Bilis and Delimas Curry Chicken Paste are the best I have ever tasted. I had done a review and recommendation to some of my friends about his Sambal Ikan Bilis since they are so good, it was sold out in less than a week after my review. Trust me. I don't simply recommend anything that is not good and doesn't taste good.

Since I have a very busy work schedule, these Sambal Ikan Bilis and Delimas Curry Chicken Paste are the best and easiest way for me to cook a decent nasi lemak at home.

Last but not least, I finally went to the store and bought Annabel a "Hello Kitty" lips gloss. I can now have a little peace of mind.

Where is Emma..????

Let me try it on.

Guess the Price and Win A Prize!!!!

Last week, I was in Norfolk for my job training. Unfortunately, I didn't had a chance to visit any of the museums or tourist attractions as I got off everyday at 5:00 pm. However, I did went to the shopping mall which adjacent to the hotel where I stayed.

Pretty bored and had nothing much to do as I'm not much of a drinker (bars and nightclubs out of my list), so on the second night, I decided to have a quick dinner at the mall and hit the stores right away.

Less than 20 minutes, see what I found in the mall...????? HAHAHA!

Now, here is a little fun thing for you to do.

Yes, you are correct. Guess the Price and Win A Prize!!! The title says it all.

Nasi Lemak Sambal Udang & Ikan Bilis

Beachlover's post on Delimas Prawn Mee Soup has inspired me alot to give it a try on Delimas product sold by MyTasteOfAsia.com, an online Asian & Malaysian store that will ship worldwide.

Delimas used to be known as Tean's and they changed the name not long ago and their products has been selling like hotcakes.

When I placed my order with MyTasteOfAsia.com last month, the nice owner gave me some free gifts as my order was over USD$35. One of the them was Delimas Stir Fry Sauce, a hot and spicy sauce which resemble "sambal", a spicy condiment used especially in Indonesia and Malaysia, made with chili peppers and other ingredients, such as sugar or coconut.

Here is what I had the previous weekend - Nasi Lemak with Sambal Udang & Ikan Bilis.

Delimas Stir Fry Sauce

One big onion

Shelled & Deveined Prawn

In less than 15 minutes, my home-made Nasi Lemak with Sambal Udang & Ikan Bilis was ready to be served.

Since I had some leftover Delimas Stir Fry sauce which I kept frozen, I cooked Sambal Petai last weekend for lunch and dinner. Boy, the whole house stunk so bad and Robert was complaining non-stop saying it's the stinkest food he has ever smelled. All I can say to him was too bad his wife is a Malaysian.

Frozen Petai bought from the local vietnamese store.
